RAA Construction Group started the way most good family businesses start - around a kitchen table in Woodland Hills, with a strong work ethic, an unbroken word, and a belief that there's a right way to build a home and a wrong way, and the wrong way isn't an option.
Mordechay Shaul founded the company more than fifteen years ago. His daughter Ashley runs operations today. Our broader team - Hadas, Afek, and Rotem - is part of how we keep the family standard on every job, even as we've grown to 2,000+ projects across the San Fernando Valley, Conejo Valley, and greater Los Angeles.
We're not the biggest construction firm in LA. We're not trying to be. We're the firm a family hires for the home they actually live in, the kitchen they actually cook in, the ADU they actually move their parents into. Repeat business and referrals are how we measure success - not slick marketing.

How long has RAA been in business?
15+ years. We've delivered 2,000+ projects across the San Fernando Valley and greater Los Angeles since the company was founded in Woodland Hills.
Are your crews employees or subcontractors?
A mix. Our project managers, foremen, and key trades are in-house. We work with long-term, vetted subcontractor partners for specialty trades - the same crews, project after project.
What kind of warranty do you offer?
A one-year workmanship warranty on every project we complete. If something we built isn't right, we come back and fix it.
Do you handle luxury / high-end work?
Yes. A significant portion of our work is high-end custom homes and estate renovations in Calabasas, Encino hills, and the Tarzana estates. We work with imported stone, custom millwork, Sub-Zero/Wolf/Miele appliances, and smart home integration.
Can you work with my architect or designer?
Absolutely. We collaborate with outside architects, interior designers, and landscape architects regularly, or we can provide full in-house design if you'd prefer a single team.
Do you carry general liability and workers' comp insurance?
Yes. Full general liability plus workers' compensation on every crew member on site. Certificates available on request.
