- How much does a roof replacement cost in Los Angeles?
- Composition shingle typically runs $8–$15 per square foot installed. Concrete or clay tile generally lands at $15–$30+ per square foot depending on profile, color, and underlayment system. We'll give you a fixed price after a free on-site inspection - no per-square games.
- How long does a roof replacement take?
- Most residential tear-off and replacement projects run 3 to 7 working days. Larger or complex tile roofs can take 2 to 3 weeks. We commit to a schedule before we start.
- Do I really need a full replacement, or can it be repaired?
- Honestly, a lot of roofs can be repaired. Our inspection report will tell you straight whether you need a tear-off or whether a targeted repair will get you another 5–10 years. We'd rather earn the replacement when you actually need it.
- What roofing materials do you replace with?
- We install GAF, CertainTeed, and Owens Corning architectural shingles, concrete and clay tile, and Title-24-compliant cool-roof systems. We'll recommend the right system for your home - and tell you when the existing material is already the best call.
- Do you do a tear-off, or layover?
- For replacements we always do a complete tear-off down to the deck. Layovers are cheaper short-term but leave you replacing twice as much weight, and most LA jurisdictions don't permit them on residential. Tear-off is the right call almost every time.
- Will you handle the permit?
- Yes. Los Angeles County and most San Fernando Valley cities require a reroof permit. We pull it, schedule the inspections, and close it out on your behalf.
- Are you licensed and insured?
- Yes. RAA Construction Group is a fully licensed California general contractor with general liability and workers' comp coverage. We provide certificates on request.
- Do you offer financing?
- Yes - we work with financing partners for qualified homeowners. Ask during the inspection and we'll send you the options that match your project size.
- How fast can you start?
- For urgent leaks we can usually be on-site within 24–48 hours for a tarp-and-stabilize. Full replacements typically schedule 1–3 weeks out depending on permit and material lead time.
